Research Services

This new part-time (0.8 FTE) post is available from April 2026 on a fixed term basis until November 2026. This post is offered as a fixed term contract and is funded by NIHR Biomedical Research Centre until November 2026. In line with the University’s fair employment for all principles, any further funding opportunities identified will be reviewed and discussed during the contract.


Summary of the role

The post holder will provide high-quality administrative support to ongoing research activities. Core responsibilities will include the accurate and timely entry of patient and clinical data into clinical databases and associated information systems. The post holder will maintain the highest standards of data quality, integrity and confidentiality, in line with NHS information governance policies and GDPR requirements.

The post holder will work with an internationally recognised team at the University of Exeter and within the NHS clinical service, with expertise in genetics. The team delivers a comprehensive range of advanced diagnostic and research-based genetic tests to clinicians and service users worldwide.

Working under the supervision of an experienced administrative team, the post holder will receive strong support. They will manage tasks in a professional, organised and proactive manner, contribute to effective workflow management, support communication with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure that administrative processes consistently meet service standards and deadlines.
