Job Requirements – Delivery Manager (PAYG Implementation, Rail)

Day rate: Up to £525 per day Outside IR35 DOE
Role Overview
We are seeking a Delivery Manager to oversee change management activities related to the implementation of Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) in the rail sector. The role will be responsible for ensuring the end-to-end customer proposition is clearly mapped, change impacts are assessed, approvals secured, and all actions tracked to completion.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day delivery activities to support PAYG implementation.
* Coordinate across multiple internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and delivery.
* Map the customer proposition end-to-end, identifying and addressing risks, dependencies, and impacts.
* Drive the change impact assessment process, securing appropriate approvals.
* Track, monitor, and report on action completion and overall project progress.
* Proactively identify delivery challenges and implement solutions.
* Ensure alignment with wider regional and national transport strategies.
1. Essential Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in delivery or change management within transport, rail, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
* Strong project management and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams.
* Excellent stakeholder management, particularly across complex multi-organisation environments.
* Demonstrated ability to map customer journeys and assess change impacts.
* Strong problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills.
* Ability to work proactively and drive outcomes under tight timelines.
Desirable Skills
* Knowledge of PAYG systems or transport ticketing solutions.
* Experience working within multi-stakeholder transport projects.
* Understanding of customer proposition design and delivery in public transport.
