Job Purpose
This is a key position, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a number of site locations.
You will be the first line in all maintenance issues throughout your allocated sites. You may be required to request specialist attendance following initial call out.
The purpose of this role is to carry out technical repairs and PPMs. You will ensure that all technical and compliance paperwork is completed and up to date at all times.
Key Accountabilities
* Complete the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timescales and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.
* Respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk, assess the requirements, and carry out repairs as necessary.
* Prioritise maintenance and repair work to meet agreed timescales and response times.
* Follow purchase order processes.
* Identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery, advise the Line Manager with findings and recommendations for replacement.
* Ensure compliance documentation is always up to date.
* Inform on-site customer (manager) of any repair and maintenance issues affecting site operations.
* Carry out surveys and complete reports as required by City management.
* Perform minor alterations and installations within technical competence following current specifications.
* Complete general repairs and maintenance at customer sites as designated by City management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* NVQ Level 3/City and Guilds 236 Part 1 + 2 or equivalent in Joinery, Carpentry, or Building Maintenance.
* Experience in planned and reactive maintenance is essential.
* Previous experience in building maintenance is essential.
* Ability to maintain and repair a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment, e.g., ovens, dishwashers, microwaves.
* High quality of repairs and maintenance.
* Speed and efficiency of work.
* Respond promptly to service call requests within agreed response times.
* Achieve PPM schedule within agreed timescales.
* Maintain Health and Safety policies.
* Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
