Join George as an Assistant Garment Designer in our Baby Boys’ department on a 12 month FTC. We are a leading name in baby fashion, creating stylish, high-quality, and comfortable clothing for little ones. We’re looking for an Assistant Garment Designer to support the Senior Designer on our Baby Boys’ fashion ranges. You’ll help bring ideas to life, contribute to designing collections, and work across all stages of product development.

1. Research trends and analyse the market to keep designs relevant and competitive
2. Develop concepts, sketches, and CADs in collaboration with the Senior Designer
3. Create tech packs with construction details, materials, and specifications
4. Support fabric, trim, and colour selection for seasonal collections
5. Be a team player collaborating with your buying /merchandising team and wider design team
6. Build on your people skills - Attend supplier and departmental meetings, contributing to the design function in these meetings
7. Develop your time management skills - Dliver work to the critical path, prioritising workload with your Senior Designer

8. Degree in Fashion Design or related field
9. Some experience in a design role, ideally in children’s fashion
10. Strong Adobe Illustrator and CAD skills
11. Good knowledge of garment construction, textiles, and trims
12. Excellent communication and presentation skills
13. Highly organised with strong time management skills
14. Able to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
15. Passion for children’s fashion, a strong eye for detail and curious to learn
This is an exciting opportunity to join a creative, trend-focused team at George and gain hands-on experience in children’s fashion design. You’ll work closely with the Senior Designer, contribute to engaging Baby Boys’ collections, and develop your skills in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
