A Day in the Life of a Reservations Manager at Crowne Plaza Docklands
Reporting to the Revenue Manager, you can expect your working day to include the following:
Key Responsibilities
* Head the reservations team in achieving monthly revenue targets.
* Involved in the larger group enquiries and follow up to convert to sales, delivering personal service per SOP.
* Liaise with the Revenue Manager & Director of Sales to optimise revenue potential for the hotel.
* Maximise conversion and revenue for rooms and meeting room sales.
* Participate in sales activities to support the hotel’s business success.
* Ensure smooth operation of the Revenue Department and liaise with Operations to guarantee all bookings operate efficiently and to customer satisfaction.
* Supervise the Reservations team on their day‑to‑day jobs.
* Report to the Revenue Manager on daily running of the department.
* Assist with daily/weekly/monthly reporting and follow‑up actions.
* Attend regular morning team briefings and keep the department up to date of pertinent information.
* Attend regular HOD meetings and team away days.
What We Need From You
We hire mostly on personality & potential but here are a few of our requirements. To succeed in the role of Reservations Manager you will need the following qualities and skills: excellent customer focus, strong organisational and methodical approach, ability to motivate and support your team, good knowledge of hotel reservations/revenue, proficiency in IT systems, commercial mindset, innovation, high expectations of yourself and others. Experience within a similar environment is preferable.
