12 Month Contract – Inside IR35
£36.26 - £41.41 per hour umbrella
Ideally 2 days per week on site but open to fully remote working where required
Job Role:
1. Operating as a senior designer within a team of up to 25 resources, the position holder will have high design technical capability and demonstrate exemplar behaviours as a role model within the team
2. Progress complex design activities through to completion using design tools (eg CAD) and advise and coach team members and early careers through their activities, and where applicable support colleagues through mentoring.
3. Check and assure other team members work on behalf of the Principal Detail Designer including final sign off of engineering outputs and creation of Quality Care Points and Alerts as identified during checking.
4. Fully conversant with all Detail Design processes and Management Systems and can advise and guide team members through application of them. Including supporting external and internal audits.
5. Strong understanding of the design lifecycle and the value stream within the discipline (i.e. Conceptual Design through to Commissioning and Acceptance)
6. Will deputise for the Principal Detail Designer when required at key management meetings and stand in as the line manager of the team when the Principal is unavailable due to holidays or sickness....
