We’re partnering with a leading independent mental health provider to recruit an Independent Hospital Manager for a secure rehabilitation service supporting adults with complex mental health needs.
This is a unique opportunity to play a critical governance and oversight role, ensuring patient rights, safety, and quality of care remain at the heart of service delivery.
About the Service
You’ll be supporting a specialist inpatient setting providing:
* Locked rehabilitation services
* Support for severe and enduring mental health conditions
* Neuropsychiatry and dementia care
* Recovery-focused, community reintegration pathways
Your Role
As an Independent Hospital Manager, you’ll act as a key decision-maker and safeguard within the service, contributing to:
* Hospital Managers’ Hearings under the Mental Health Act
* Review of detention and section papers
* Participation in quarterly governance meetings
* Engagement with service users on wards to understand patient experience
* Oversight of care standards, rights, and legal compliance
What We’re Looking For
* Degree-level education (or equivalent) in a relevant field
* Background in mental health, social work, AMHP, or legal sectors
* Strong understanding of Mental Health Act processes
* Excellent decision-making, independence, and professional judgement
* Ability to manage sensitive information with integrity and discretion
