Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fryer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food preparation and cooking, with a strong emphasis on maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Fryer, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that each dish meets our restaurant's exceptional standards.
Expectation to work Friday, Saturday, and potentially Sunday evening shifts (4:30-9), as well as one or two shifts during the week.
Responsibilities
* Prep fish and potatoes.
* Frying alongside our manager, and learning to fry alone on quieter shifts.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.
* Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal results for all fried items.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
* Maintain equipment and utensils in good working condition, reporting any issues promptly.
* Ability to work, serving when required.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a Fish and Chip shop, or chef in restaurant.
* Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques.
* Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations to ensure compliance within the kitchen.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
* Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.

Pay: £13.50-£15.00 per hour
