These are exciting times at ARAG, as we are experiencing positive business change and sustained growth across our Legal Advice teams. We now have a Technical Legal Trainer opportunity available.
In this role, you will support the delivery of technical legal training (both face-to-face and online) across our Legal Advice department (dual site), while helping provide a professional Legal Advice service to our commercial and personal customers.
Your role will involve assisting management with technical legal training by supporting, coaching, and mentoring new and existing Legal Advisers, as well as deputising in the absence of Team Leaders, providing technical expertise and guidance.

2. Delivering technical legal training to new and existing Legal Advisers on various legal areas.
3. Assisting with complex legal queries and acting as a technical and procedural referral point for Legal Advisers.
4. Designing and developing new training materials in line with regulatory changes and legal updates.
5. Managing customer experience professionally, ensuring engagement, managing expectations, and meeting/exceeding service levels.
6. Innovating and liaising with colleagues to improve working practices and procedures.
7. Supporting strategic initiatives to develop and enhance the Legal Advice service.
8. Understanding and complying with SRA regulations and statutory obligations.
9. Keeping abreast of regulatory and legal updates, and updating training content accordingly.
We seek an experienced and confident legal professional with a passion for training and developing others, and a commitment to excellent customer outcomes. Key qualities include approachability, exceptional communication skills (verbal and written), influencing ability, and engaging facilitation skills.
Additional requirements include:
* Practical knowledge of areas such as Employment, Property, Consumer Law, Family, Wills & Probate, Landlord & Tenant, and Commercial Law.
* The ability to learn and train on other legal issues affecting customers.
* Strong team collaboration skills with a customer-focused approach.
* Negotiation skills, attention to detail, proactive problem-solving.
* Effective training delivery tailored to varied abilities and learning styles.
* Excellent customer service and understanding of its importance.
* Ability to meet challenging targets and SLAs.
* People management skills.
* Willingness to travel weekly between Bristol and Bedwas.
Our team is passionate and enthusiastic. We promote independent thinking and ownership of work. Our modern, city-centre Bristol offices are a 5-minute walk from Temple Meads station. We support flexible working and work-life balance.
In return, we offer a generous salary, benefits including 27 days holiday (+option to buy 5), private medical insurance, pension scheme, income and legal protection, salary sacrifice schemes, discounts, social events, and more.
