About the job
You will play a key role in reviewing and verifying data to ensure it is recorded accurately, as well as supporting Neighbourhood Services through a range of general administrative duties.
You will be responsible for cross-checking data from various sources, handling enquiries and complaints, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the implementation of electronic and paper record management systems. The role involves analysing data, identifying anomalies, reporting variances, and supporting audits and compliance with Council procedures.
You will also provide general office administration, support the team with stocktaking and audit checks, and use IT systems such as Alloy, Startraq, Bartec, Collective, Gatehouse, and Halo for data entry and reporting.
What We Are Looking For From You
* Good general standard of education.
* Experience with administrative processes, data entry, and record management.
* Experience working with databases, spreadsheets, and other software.
* Excellent communication skills and experience in a busy administrative environment.
* Ability to work calmly, efficiently, and courteously with members of the public.
* Proficient IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and data management systems.
* Strong data analysis skills, including cross-checking and identifying inconsistencies.
* Ability to work on your own initiative and apply a methodical approach to tasks.
* Enthusiastic, adaptable, and self-motivated, with a flexible approach to work.
* Ability to work under pressure and to tight timescales.
