Course Leader - Culinary Skills
* Annual Salary: £33,352 - £38,651

Join the School of Travel, Food and Drink at this fantastic FE College based in Leeds who are are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Course Leader to lead our Level 2 and Level 3 Culinary and Professional Cookery courses. This role is ideal for someone with industry experience and a proven track record in course management, learner engagement, and achieving successful outcomes.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Oversee retention, achievement, progress, attendance, and positive progression rates for designated courses.
* Maintain high-quality and effective delivery across the course team.
* Develop new modules, units, and courses in alignment with government policy, awarding organisation developments, student demand, and local community, economic, and employer requirements.
* Deliver and assess essential knowledge and understanding to learners.
* Plan, prepare, and develop schemes of work, lesson plans, teaching and learning resources, and assessment plans.
* Motivate and inspire students to achieve targets and develop skills for progression.
* Reflect on teaching practices to meet diverse student needs and engage in scholarly activity.
* Record student progress and meet individual and group learner targets.
* Market courses and provide high-quality Information, Advice, and Guidance (IAG), including participation in open days, transition activities, enrolment, and induction.
* Complete course level self-assessment reports and maintain course quality improvement plans.
* Carry out internal verification/moderation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven industry experience in culinary and professional cookery.
* Demonstrable skills in course management and meeting learner needs.
* Ability to develop and adapt curriculum delivery to maximise effectiveness.
* Experience in managing assessments and internal quality assurance plans.
* Strong motivational and inspirational skills.
* Excellent planning and organisational skills.
