Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant
Do you want practical primary classroom experience before applying for teacher training? Could you deliver focused 1:1 and small-group support that lifts progress across the curriculum?
Role: Immediate start until July 2026
Salary: £81 - £101 per day
Location: Good primary school, Yardley
Responsibilities
* Work alongside class teachers across KS1 and KS2 to deliver short, targeted interventions in reading, writing and maths.
* Provide 1:1 support and guide small groups, prepare simple resources, and keep brief impact notes to inform next steps.
* Reinforce routines, encourage positive behaviour, and help pupils build confidence and independence.
Candidate
You're a graduate who communicates clearly, stays organised, and engages pupils with concise explanations and structured tasks. You follow guidance, use initiative in sessions, and keep learning focused on measurable progress.
Requirements
* Degree - A 2:2 or above in any subject.
* Communication - Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
* Enhanced DBS - Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
* Desire to work in education/with children - Strong interest in primary education and pupil progress.
* Experience working with children - Any relevant experience (tutoring, mentoring, volunteering) is desirable but not essential.
