SPECIALIST PHYSIOTHERAPIST (Band 6)
Location: Cystic Fibrosis/Home Oxygen, ARI, Aberdeen
Hours: 14.8 hours per week Monday and Tuesday (could be spread over 3 days on discussion)
There may be the opportunity to increase hours to 18.5 in future
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Physiotherapist to work within the Home Oxygen team at ARI.
Applicants will have a degree in Physiotherapy and be registered with the Health Care and Professions Council. They should have recent NHS clinical experience to include some work within respiratory care and an interest in the management of chronic disease. Experience of team working would be beneficial.
This post holder will primarily work within the Home Oxygen Team, assessing individuals need for home oxygen and supporting patients who already have it in place and require review. This is a unique opportunity to gain experience and develop skills supporting the Home Oxygen Service. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to gain experience with Cystic Fibrosis and other respiratory out-patients. The post will include a combination of inpatient, outpatient, domiciliary and virtual (nearme) caseloads.
Due to the nature of the post a car driver is essential.
This post will contribute to out of hours working.
The Physiotherapy Department in the Acute Sector provides a supportive working environment with structured supervision, appraisal and in service training in place.
