JOB DESCRIPTION Aerospace MRO & Landing Gear Manufacturing Job Title: CNC Setter Operator Job Band: B2 Department: Bush Manufacturing Shift Pattern: Nights - Sunday to Thursday (22:00-06:00) Location: Hayes Reporting To: Production Manager About the Role The CNC Setter Operator is responsible for the setup, programming, and operation of numerical control (CNC) machines used to cut, shape, and finish metal workpieces in accordance with aerospace and aircraft landing gear component specifications. This position supports Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) activities by ensuring high precision, traceability, and compliance with aviation regulatory and quality standards. Duties and Responsibilities ⦁ Set up and operate CNC machines for production by inspecting parts, identifying malfunctions, troubleshooting issues when necessary, and reporting required repairs. Perform basic CNC programming and editing. ⦁ Produce high-precision and micro-finish surfaces during turning, facing, and machining of aircraft landing gear components. ⦁ Review setup sheets, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining sequence, setup procedures, and finished part dimensions.
