Our client is a specialist Precision Engineering company that supply to Formula 1, Aerospace and Motorsport and they are looking for a Quality Inspector to join their growing team!
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Take responsibility for the inspection and quality assurance department
* Maintain calibration records and ensure all inspection equipment is in excellent working order
* Operate, program, and maintain a wide range of inspection and measurement equipment
* Inspect precision components and tooling to tight tolerances such as, CMM, verniers, calipers etc
* Verify components against engineering drawings, CAD data, and customer specifications
* Accurately record, report, and communicate inspection results
* Collaborate with production and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement and ensure right-first-time quality
Ideal Candidate:
* Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and dimensional tolerances
* Proven experience in precision component inspection within a manufacturing environment
* Competent in using both manual and automated metrology equipment
* CMM programming or operation experience (Mitutoyo, DEA, or similar systems)
* Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality standards and inspection documentation
* High attention to detail and a methodical, quality-driven mindset
