Charles Street Finance (“CSF”) is a specialist secured lender based in Cheadle, South Manchester. Established in 1983, we’re a small team but have doubled the size of the loan book over 2 years such that we are seeking to grow and enhance the existing personnel in key areas to further facilitate our ambitions. Job Description
As a Data Analyst you will play a key role in turning raw data into meaningful insights to help us understand and improve both financial and operational performance.
1) Data Collection and Preparation
* Gathering data from multiple sources across the business
* Organise, clean and structure data for analysis and reporting
2) Reporting and Insights
* Produce regular and ad hoc reports for financial and operational teams
* Create clear, insightful visualisations and summaries to support decision making
3) Analysis and Problem Solving
* Identify trends, anomalies and opportunities in data
* Work closely with finance and operations to answer key business questions
4) Process Improvement
* Streamline data workflows and reporting processes
* Improve data quality and reliability
* Contribute ideas to improve efficiency and accuracy in data handling
Qualifications
Essential:
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
* Strong knowledge of Excel, PowerBI, SQL or Python
* Data and financial modelling skills
* Data validation, reporting and control frameworks
* Finance or operational data background
