Our client is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Music Technician to support the day-to-day running of a busy and well-resourced Music department within an independent school in Berkshire. Music plays an important role in school life, with regular rehearsals, concerts, and co-curricular activities, and the technician is a valued part of the department. The Role Providing technical support for Music lessons, rehearsals, and performances Setting up and maintaining musical instruments, equipment, and resources Supporting concerts, assemblies, and school events, including sound and basic AV Assisting staff and pupils with the safe use of music equipment Managing storage, organisation, and upkeep of instruments and music spaces Working closely with Music teachers to support smooth day-to-day operations The Ideal Candidate Will Have Experience supporting Music, performing arts, or technical work in a school or similar setting Practical knowledge of musical instruments and basic sound equipment Good organisational skills and attention to detail A flexible and proactive approach, particularly around performances and events Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude An Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) The legal right to work in the UK School Information This independent school in Berkshire is known for its strong academic standards, supportive leadership, and rich co-curricular programme.
