We’re looking for a highly motivated Tax Manager to lead tax business partnering for the following markets:
* Direct Markets (key markets): UK, Sweden
* Flex Markets (sales markets): Denmark, Finland, Ireland
* Distributor Markets (export markets): N/A
Why This Role Matters:
Your role will ensure we meet our financial goals and comply with regulations, while also driving tax optimization and leveraging technology. The Tax Manager will provide in-market/regional tax advice on challenges and opportunities impacting the relevant markets. Responsibilities include overseeing local planning, review and sign-off on compliance and reporting (via third-party managed service), responding to tax authority challenges, and ensuring the business optimizes its tax position while adhering to all laws and regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Ensure local adherence to global tax strategy, policies, and risk management framework, aligning with business objectives and regulations.
* Provide advice on tax implications of new initiatives, mergers, acquisitions, cross-border transactions, contracts, and corporate projects.
* Manage in-market/in-region tax audits and disputes to ensure efficient resolution. Work closely with the central tax team for consistent approaches.
* Oversee timely and accurate filing of tax returns, review and sign off on deliverables, and collaborate with the global shared service centre.
* Identify and mitigate local tax risks, maintain internal controls for compliance, and prevent penalties.
* Monitor legislative changes, assess impacts, and advise management on mitigation strategies.
* Contribute local input into enterprise-wide system design decisions, such as S/4HANA.
ALL ABOUT YOU
* Qualified Chartered Accountant, Chartered Tax Advisor, or equivalent.
* Experience with a large MNC or Big 4 firm.
* Strong knowledge of tax matters in consumer goods.
* Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement.
* Collaborative, curious, and adaptable.
* Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
