What will you be doing?
You assist the Senior Quantity Surveyor in delivery of the target cost and budget estimate works for Specialist Treatment, Routine & Cyclic maintenance works.
Tasks include, cost capture for supply chain & depot delivered works. Assisting in supplying client with Target Costs and Budget estimates.
You'll work with the Senior Quantity Surveyor to prepare clear and accurate quarterly forecasts for all Specialist Treatment, Routine & Cyclical maintenance works.
We'll ask you to prepare early warning notices and CE quotations, submitting of claims and applications to the client and ensuring payment is received and assist in agreement of final accounts for all Specialist Treatment, Routine & Cyclical maintenance works.
Risk & opportunity management. Monthly cost and value reconciliation & management.
You'll assist in management of supply chain. Carrying out site visits as and when required.
You'll ensure compliance with Milestone standards and procedures in respect of commercial activities.
What youll bring Degree or equivalent level qualification in Quantity Surveying or related construction subject
Preferably qualified or working to an CICES or RICS accreditation
Relevant CSCS Card
Strong level of identifiable commercial experience within the construction industry
Good command and communication of oral and written English
Skilled negotiator and communicator
Good people/management/organisational skills.
Demonstrable highway maintenance and civil engineering experience preferably with a contracting organisation
Good knowledge of the NEC suite of contracts
IT proficient, particularly in MS Office
Knowledge of planning software
