Clinic Coordinator/Admin Support – Adult Mental Health Directorate
Location: North East Community Mental Health Team (Pentwyn Health Centre), Cardiff and Vale University Health Board
Responsibilities
* Provide efficient and effective reception, performing clerical duties for the coordination of outpatient clinics.
* Oversee all aspects of the preparation and delivery of the clinic.
* Deal with patients and families who have mental health problems with patience and understanding.
* Maintain a high level of communication with patients, families, and professionals from varying disciplines.
* Ensure confidentiality and discretion in all work related areas.
* Help achieve ward waiting‑list targets set by the Welsh Assembly Government.
Qualifications & Requirements
* High performing, experienced administrative worker with ability to provide comprehensive clinic coordination and administrative support.
* Highly organised, adaptable, able to work independently and prioritise workload.
* Excellent telephone manner and attention to detail.
* Previous experience working in a similar environment is advantageous.
* Understanding of current Welsh Assembly Government waiting‑list targets and responsibility in achieving them.
* Reliability and efficiency with proven organisational and communication skills.
* Welsh language desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers welcome.
