Pay: £25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year

Job Description:

Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales/Purchasing Associate to join our dynamic team at G2 Digital Video Ltd where we design/manufacture custom built 1U-4U Rack Mounted, Mini and Rugged computers. The ideal candidate will support the Sales and Purchasing functions by managing inquiries, converting them to sales, and supporting the customer through their purchasing life cycle through to receiving and using our products. This will include processing returns and quality management as well as liaising with the product development team on product improvements. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sales and customer service while also having an interest/technical knowledge of computers and hardware. As a Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in driving sales, assisting purchasing of components required whilst working closely with all other departments.


Responsibilities

* To support the Sales/Purchasing functions by coordinating sales and purchasing operations including sales, shipping, purchasing, product specifications, returns and quality management to ensure overall performance is in line with management & ISO9001 objectives
* Sales and Customer Experience: Be the first point of contact for enquiries (email/phone/online chat), provide technical advice/assistance specifying the “best fit” product for clients’ needs, including cross selling other G2 products to convert to sales. Raise quotes, process customer orders, monitor work in progress and ensure timely payment. Communicate order updates to customers (shipping dates, changes, delays, and key updates)
* Support: First line support for after-sale customers, manage returns to ensure products are repaired, tested and shipped back promptly. Investigate and assist with technical issues (e.g., hardware compatibility) and keep customers informed
* Data/Metrics: Maintain clean, accurate records (update CRM such as Salesflare) of opportunities and customer information. Use CRM and internal systems to manipulate Sales/Purchasing data for management meetings/reviews including tracking lost opportunities
* Order Processing: Liaise with production to ensure timely shipment of orders, raise quality issues and ensure accurate handover of Work Orders
* Work with Purchasing to identify new products/sales demands and how this affects stock (more/less stock, different components). Use sales data to predict run rates and purchasing trends. Chase suppliers on late deliveries and update the system with price changes of components
* Internal Feedback: Collate customer service feedback to improve company performance (quality issues, customer needs, product specifications). Collaborate with Product Development to provide feedback on customer requests/experience and ideas for new products
* Enhance ordering processes: Enter new product specs/new builds into FileMaker with all components/details for future orders
* Content and Product Input: Support Marketing with product information/expertise and suggest ideas for blog posts, newsletters, and marketing content. Identify gaps in documentation and feed back to Product Development for additional documentation
* Goods In: Support goods in by emailing rejections to metal workers and filling out rejection collection notes


Qualifications / Person Specification

* Technical knowledge of Computers/hardware
* People person, confident to network with new customers
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy
* Self-directed with a “can do” attitude and the ability to complete projects with limited supervision
* Highly organized
* Logical thinker with the ability to identify areas for improvement and provide solutions
* Problem solving skills and logical thinking
* Ability to multitask and meet changing deadlines
* Minimum Grade C in GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths
* IT literacy (Microsoft Office), including SAGE
* Right to Work in the UK
* Excellent knowledge of G2 Digital Products and Services
* Experience in a sales and/or purchasing support role in a technical/computer/hardware industry
* Knowledge of Supply Management Software (Database Management, Inventory Management, Procurement, Project Management, ERP)
* Knowledge/experience using systems such as Salesflare/FileMaker
