The Staff Product Manager for Technical SEO is dedicated to understanding, anticipating, and exceeding customer needs within the SEO domain. They champion the long-term vision for their products aligned with business goals and collaborate across teams to prioritize diverse requirements.

The role involves understanding customer, business, and engineering needs to drive SEO strategies, engaging in technical discussions, and integrating SEO best practices into product development. They use SEO metrics to inform their roadmap and make data-driven decisions.

Success factors include articulating the business benefits of SEO strategies, tracking effort and value, and identifying opportunities for cost reduction and quality improvement.


What I need to do

* Support strategy development and create roadmaps for technical SEO to enhance visibility.
* Own SEO value for the business and secure support from relevant teams.
* Collaborate with product and engineering teams to embed SEO best practices.
* Manage end-to-end product delivery, prioritizing activities aligned with goals.
* Maintain realistic 90-day and FY roadmaps, communicate progress, and manage risks.
* Lead collaborations to launch new features and maximize reuse.
* Educate teams on technical SEO and foster continuous improvement.
* Conduct competitive analysis and adapt strategies accordingly.
* Evaluate and select third-party vendors as needed.
* Support incident resolution and prioritize production issues.

* Translate strategies into a product roadmap prioritizing value delivery.
* Communicate product benefits effectively to diverse audiences.
* Prioritize activities for maximum value and ROI.
* Build collaborative relationships with engineering teams.
* Engage stakeholders and advocate for the product.

* Own KPIs to measure success.
* Contribute to the SEO community of practice.


What I need to know

* Knowledge of retail and digital product value.
* Deep understanding of technical SEO.
* Strong analytical skills.
* Experience managing complex projects.
* Familiarity with insight tools like Conductor, SEMrush, etc.
* Up-to-date SEO marketplace knowledge.
* Proficiency with Excel, Google Search Console, Analytics, and other platforms.
* Understanding of Agile and product development principles.
