About the Role: You will be the first point of contact for members of the public visiting the Council offices. As a Customer Service Officer, you’ll play a vital role in delivering a welcoming, efficient, and solution-focused service to residents and visitors alike. Key Responsibilities: * Provide exceptional face-to-face customer service on the reception desk. * Guide customers toward self-service and digital solutions where appropriate. * Efficiently handle queries, resolve issues, and escalate where necessary. * Maintain accurate records and manage admin tasks, including post room duties. * Promote a professional, positive customer experience at all times. What We’re Looking For: * Experience in a receptionist or front-desk role, ideally within the public sector. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills. * Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure. * Confident with IT systems and quick to learn new processes. * Minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent work experience. * Understanding of health & safety in a public setting.
