A renowned, design-led engineering practice is seeking a proactive and personable Studio Manager to join its London team.
This is a key role at the heart of a collaborative studio, combining day-to-day operational management with the opportunity to develop HR skills and take on broader responsibilities over time. It would suit someone with experience running office or studio environments who’s now looking to grow their career within a supportive and creative workplace.
You’ll work closely with senior leadership to ensure the studio runs smoothly, helping to nurture a positive, well-organised, and inclusive environment where people can do their best work.
Key Responsibilities
Studio Operations
* Oversee the day-to-day running of the studio and facilities
* Maintain Health & Safety compliance and coordinate insurance renewals
* Support leadership with office policies, systems, and company procedures
* Manage suppliers, contractors, and operational budgets
* Coordinate internal communications, announcements, and events
* Help organise team socials, wellbeing activities, and cultural initiatives
HR Support & Development
* Assist in maintaining HR records, policies, and procedures
* Support recruitment, onboarding, and new starter inductions
* Coordinate training, appraisals, and professional development initiatives
* Help deliver payroll information and HR reporting
* Gain hands-on experience in employment compliance and HR processes, with the opportunity for formal HR training as the role evolves
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in studio, office, or operations management
* An interest in building HR experience and developing long-term in this area
* Excellent organisation and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail
* A confident communicator who enjoys supporting others and building relationships
* Professional, discreet, and approachable, with a proactive and collaborative mindset
* Competent in Microsoft Office; experience with HR systems an advantage
* Experience in a creative, design, or engineering environment desirable
