Serve as a voluntary College Governor in Cirencester, Gloucestershire, supporting the strategic governance of FE College.
About The Role
You will visit the college site, meet learners and staff, and contribute to decision‑making that shapes the college’s future. Governors act as charity trustees and are accountable to the Secretary of State for Education and the Department for Education.
Professional experience at a senior strategic level in HR, finance, law, audit, risk, health & safety, cybersecurity/IT or project management is valuable, but leadership, communication and problem‑solving skills are also sought.

The Board will meet regularly and work with committees on finance, learner achievement, etc., to support the college’s mission.

Help shape the experience of adult learners and support a wide range of courses, from academic studies to vocational training and apprenticeships, impacting the wider community.
