This is an opportunity to upskill your knowledge, both theoretical and practical, of English editorial and of EDI (Equality, Diversity and Inclusion) within the context of English language learning publishing. As part of this role, you will carry out a number (but not all) of the following activities:


Key Responsibilities

* Support the Propositions Excellence team in their work on developing an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) learning pathway, testing training materials, frameworks and review scoring materials.
* Attending EDI content creation groups and contributing to the promotion of the Cambridge EDI/Sustainability guidelines and their application in our products.
* Maintaining documentation, report writing and presentations to the Propositions group on recent findings.
* Carrying out reviews of our content against the various frameworks to ensure we are adhering to our pledges.
* Carrying out a review of the existing content accessibility guidance documentation in terms of format, terminology and clarity of purpose.
* Provide product development support for the Delivery and Portfolio teams on projects during build and lifecycle stages.
* Support the management of individual components or levels of a course in development, as allocated by the Product Owner or other colleagues.
* Carry out editorial tasks, including content and copy-editing, as required.
* Update or request updates to business systems and product records.
* Check print and digital content at different stages of development.
* Test digital materials.
* Select photographs, including video stills, and provide feedback on artwork roughs.
* Bring added value to the team by carrying out administrative tasks as required to free up other team members to focus on the core value within their role.

Key Dates

* 30th March – 10th April: After submitting your application, there will be a selection period where we review all candidates.
* 4th – 15th May: You can expect to hear from us with an application update, and if you're successful, be invited to interview.
* 18th – 29th May: You can expect an update on your interview, and if successful you will receive a placement offer. We will ask for acceptance responses by 29th May.

You will be passionate about promoting equality, diversity and inclusion through education and in all areas of life. You will be a keen and enthusiastic team member, able to work both independently and as part of your team. You will be keen to learn new skills and try your hand at a variety of different tasks.

Food & Drink Facilities Our subsidised café and canteen offer a variety of snacks, breakfast, and lunch options – including a daily pizza selection. We offer six lunch choices, including vegetarian and vegan meals, ranging from £1.05 to £6.00. Plus, you'll have access free to water, tea, and coffee throughout the office. Alternatively, you are welcome to bring your own lunches. Microwaves are also available for heating up food. Approximate spend based on maximum of 3 days in office, for 2 days this will be less.
