Job summary Band 5 Occupational Therapist - Acute Stroke Unit (Static Post) Band: 5 Full time - 22.5 hours per week - Monday - Friday (plus weekend and Bank Holiday roster). An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team on the Acute Stroke Unit at the Leicester Royal Infirmary. We are seeking candidates who demonstrate strong teamworking skills, thrive in the fast-paced nature of the acute setting, and have a genuine interest in stroke care and rehabilitation. As this is a static post, it offers an excellent opportunity for candidates wishing to consolidate and develop their core skills in stroke rehabilitation within a supportive and specialist environment You need to be an HCPC registered Occupational Therapist. Interviews will be face to face. Main duties of the job You will be responsible for managing your own caseload, carrying out comprehensive assessments and delivering evidence-based, patient-centered Occupational Therapy interventions. You will demonstrate excellent communication and time management skills and work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team. You will be supported both formally and informally by senior staff and the wider team. We ensure regular clinical supervision, one to one meetings and have a robust appraisal process and preceptorship programme. The service is passionate about research and service development. Implementing a local in-service training schedule, addressing the particular learning and development needs of staff within the team.
