Robert Half Technology is recruiting on a retained basis for an IT Support Engineer to join Safeguard Engineering Limited, a safety and environmental management consultancy based in Bristol. This role offers the opportunity to influence the development of core IT systems as the company grows.

Safeguard Engineering is a specialist Safety and Environmental Consultancy based in Bristol, serving clients mainly in the South and South West of England. The Role
Working closely with the IT Manager, the IT Support Engineer will be the first point of contact for IT support issues, resolving or escalating as needed, and building relationships with staff to uphold IT reputation within the organization.
Responsibilities
* Act as first point of contact for all IT support issues via phone, email, Teams, or in person.
* Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, including laptops, printers, M365 products, and OS issues; escalate to IT Manager when necessary.
* Provide user training on IT systems and applications.
* Install, configure, and deploy hardware and software, ensuring security and compatibility.
* Maintain records of support activities and knowledge base articles.
* Assist with managing Microsoft 365 environment, including Intune, Autopilot, SharePoint, and Exchange.
* Create new users, set up accounts, and conduct inductions.
* Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users and keep them informed about support requests.
* Adhere to the company's QMS policies.
* Support IT projects and assist the IT Manager and team as needed.
Qualifications and Experience
* At least 2 years of experience in an IT Helpdesk or similar role.
* Proficient in troubleshooting Windows OS environments.
* Knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite and administration.
* Strong customer service and communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team and share knowledge.
* Experience with Unifi Access Points, Sophos Firewalls, Threatlocker, SentinelOne, Defender for Endpoint, and managing Intune, EntraID, and Microsoft Security products.
* Full UK Driving License.
