Mission
This is a consultancy-based position, requiring on-site presence at the client's premises 2–3 days per week (Aztec West, Bristol).
We are currently seeking a Technical Lead / Consultant to join our expanding UK team and support our client on the Hinkley Point and Sizewell C nuclear projects.
As the Technical Lead you will provide technical oversight of the contract(s), including the surveillance of technical documentations, the management and the resolution of open-points and changes related to Design, Manufacturing and Qualification.
The contracts include Airlocks, equipment hatches, cranes, lifts trolleys and hoists.

What You'll Be Doing
As the Technical Lead you will oversee the technical aspects of the contract(s), which includes monitoring technical documentation, managing and resolving outstanding issues and changes pertaining to Design, Manufacturing, and Qualification. Additionally, you will ensure that the contract remains configuration-compliant with the project's advancement. These responsibilities include:
* Leading meetings focused on technical open points
* Providing technical oversight and resolving issues or queries
* Reviewing and approving contractor deliverables and designs as needed
* Evaluating non-conformances, exemption requests (ERs), open points, and design modifications
* Managing the evolution of the contract and design changes
* Reviewing and approving contract amendments and exemptions (CTSs, ERs)
* Proactively engage with all stakeholders to ensure the integration of equipment with interfacing functions and systems
* Coordinating with the Responsible Designer and client management teams to communicate progress, risks, issues, and planning to facilitate contract delivery
* Reporting key performance indicators (KPIs) to the CEL
* Ensuring that qualification activities are aligned with contract progress and site requirements
* Assisting in the development of team members
* Conducting technical assessments of tenders concerning design, qualification, and manufacturing.
Your Skills and Experience:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following qualifications and experience:
* A Master's degree or equivalent in an Engineering or Scientific field
* Familiarity with EPR or general PWR design
* Expertise in Nuclear Mechanical Equipment Design, Manufacturing, and Operations
* A solid technical foundation in handling equipment such as cranes, mechanical systems, rotating machinery, steelwork design, and lift design.
* Knowledge of Equipment interfaces (including safety cases, systems engineering, and civil interfaces)
* Experience in contract management and document review
* Proficiency in using change-management, commercial, and deliverable management systems (such as UKDC, UKICM, OPM, CEMAR, Teamcenter, and Navisworks).

This role is full time, consultancy position, 40 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.
