Salary: £45,000 per annum
Hours: 40hrs, Monday to Friday

About the role (Manufacturing Process Engineer)
You will play a central role in improving production capability, supporting new product introduction and enhancing manufacturing performance. Working closely with Production, Engineering, Quality and Sales, you’ll optimise workflows, implement new equipment, develop documentation and support continuous improvement across the factory.
Key duties
* Provide hands-on technical support, resolving production issues and driving corrective actions
* Source, evaluate and introduce new machinery, tooling and equipment
* Review and optimise manufacturing processes using Lean methods
* Support cross-department improvement projects and workflow alignment
* Collaborate with the Engineering and Workshop teams on new product readiness
* Assist with production routings and manufacturing documentation
* Lead internal and collaborative R&D initiatives
* Provide technical guidance to customers and partners
* Promote best practice in health and safety and manufacturing compliance
Essential requirements
* Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing process engineering role
* Proven experience introducing new processes, tooling and workflow improvements
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
* Experience in project management and MRP/ERP systems
* Skilled in creating SOPs, work instructions and process routings
Desirable
* Background in sheet-metal or deep-drawing processes
* Strong Lean manufacturing and CI knowledge
* Experience in low- to mid-volume batch production
* CAPEX justification, ROI analysis and equipment sourcing
* Experience within ISO 9001 or Six Sigma environments
