Job Description
Alpine Formula One Team is seeking a Junior Model Maker Technician to join our dynamic Model Shop. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work in a cutting-edge environment, directly contributing to high-level aerodynamic testing and performance development.
This is a weekend position, operating on a rotating 3-day shift schedule.
The Role
As a Junior Model Maker Technician, your responsibilities will include:
* Manufacturing and pre-fitting wind tunnel test model components using various materials and tools.
* Conducting 'Pit Stops' safely, methodically, and efficiently.
* Operating the wind tunnel, ensuring its safe and effective performance during tests.
* Preparing test models to exact specifications for testing readiness.
* Performing basic fault finding and reset procedures as needed.
* Documenting progress and providing feedback on faults and process improvements.
* Maintaining adherence to all Health and Safety policies and ensuring a clean, safe working environment.
The Person
We are looking for enthusiastic, detail-oriented individuals eager to learn. The ideal candidate will have:
* A degree or certification in Modelmaking (preferred).
* Experience with machine tools and workshop equipment.
* Strong attention to detail and a logical, methodical approach.
* The ability to stay calm and focused under pressure.
* A proactive attitude and flexibility to adapt to changing schedules.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn bespoke control systems (training provided).
* A strong team ethic and motivation to contribute to a high-performance environment.
