KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide reassurance and support to patients and family/carers
2. Provide information to enable the effectiveness of the patient journey through Outpatients.
3. To support patients and relatives in distress, and to recognise when advice should be sort from qualified nursing or medical staff.
4. Be able to locate all policies relating to good working practice within the clinical area and adhere to them
5. Contribute to promotion of good health and participate in health education
6. To maintain the confidentiality of information about patients, staff and health service business in accordance with Trust Confidentiality Policy and the Data Protection Act
7. Assist in the maintenance of accurate record keeping.
8. To assist patients and relatives and friends in arranging further investigations and procedures and in directing them to other departments
