Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our dynamic team in delivering exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail. This role involves providing attentive service, ensuring guest satisfaction, and supporting the smooth operation of the restaurant. Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. The position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a vibrant culinary environment.
Responsibilities
* Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
* Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are accommodated
* Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
* Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
* Ensure all health and safety regulations, including food safety standards, are adhered to at all times
* Assist with setting up tables, clearing dishes, and maintaining a tidy dining area
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
* Handle guest queries professionally and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
* Support in preparing basic food items or beverages as required, following proper food safety procedures
* Manage time effectively during busy service periods to maintain efficiency
Skills
* Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous
* Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques
* Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
* Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour when engaging with guests
* Basic maths skills for handling bills and payments accurately
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Kitchen or culinary experience is a plus but not mandatory
* Guest service orientation with a proactive approach to upselling menu items
* Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities during service hours
