The Role We’re seeking a proactive Talent Management Advisor / Specialist to drive and support the delivery of key talent processes—spanning performance management, competency frameworks, and training strategy. This role will directly influence how we develop people, align capability with business needs, and build a culture of continuous improvement. You’ll work closely with business leaders, HR, and key departments to ensure our approach is aligned to both internal strategic priorities and external standards such as IATF 16949. You’ll play a critical role in shaping how talent is recognised, developed, and retained across our business. Your work will directly influence performance, capability, and culture during a pivotal moment of transformation. Duties/Responsibilities Performance Management Drive the end-to-end performance cycle, from goal setting to year-end reviews and calibration. Design and maintain appraisal calendars, process workflows, and rating guidance aligned to corporate policies. Facilitate goal-setting workshops, mid-year reviews, and calibration sessions to drive fair and consistent evaluation. Provide on-demand coaching and training to managers on feedback, SMART goals, and evaluation quality. Ensure alignment to parent-company practices and IATF 16949 standards. Competency Frameworks Develop and maintain role-based competency models, including proficiency levels. Map competencies to career paths, job families, and skills matrices. Manage governance, version control, and continuous improvement of framework design. Learning & Development Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) based on competency and performance data. Prioritise learning interventions by business impact and skills gaps. Partner with business leaders and SMEs to design blended learning solutions. Ensure training plans are embedded into the broader talent and capability strategy. Reporting & Analytics Track and report on key talent metrics—including cycle completion, ratings distribution, and competency coverage. Surface insights to improve engagement, fairness, and process efficiency. Ensure system configurations support data reporting and compliance audit requirements. Collaboration & Support Partner with HR, Talent Acquisition, Quality, and Global/Parent Company teams to align processes and goals. Support adoption and engagement across the business by delivering clear guidance, training, and communication. Help navigate change and embed new talent processes in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment. Personal Specification Proven experience in Talent Management, L&D, or HR Specialist/Advisor roles. Hands-on expertise with performance management systems, competency frameworks, and learning strategy. Strong ability to coach and influence stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership. Comfortable navigating matrix organisations and coordinating with global teams. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate data into decisions. High degree of project management, organisation, and attention to detail.
