The Role
The Graduate Trainee in Operations & Supply Chain will play a key role in ensuring our operational processes run smoothly and are continuously improved within the FMCG sector. The focus is on increasing production efficiency, optimizing processes, and maintaining seamless supply chain operations. You will engage in projects aimed at operational excellence, focusing on cost, quality, and delivery targets.
Responsibilities
* Operational Process Support: Monitor and optimize daily operations, analyze performance, and participate in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement programs using methodologies like Six Sigma, Kaizen, and 5S.
* Production Planning and Control: Support production schedules, optimize resource allocation, and analyze performance metrics to resolve bottlenecks.
* Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track KPIs such as downtime and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and generate reports to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
* Inventory and Material Flow: Assist in inventory management, waste reduction, and collaborate with procurement and logistics teams.
* Logistics and Distribution: Coordinate with logistics teams for timely deliveries and support warehouse operations.
* Process Mapping and Standardization: Document workflows, develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and ensure compliance with standards.
* Problem-Solving: Conduct root cause analysis and propose corrective actions using tools like Fishbone Diagrams and Pareto Analysis.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with different teams to align operational and business goals, participating in cross-departmental projects.
Minimum Requirements
* A degree in Engineering or Operations, achieved or expected to achieve a 2:1 (Hons)
* Right to work in the UK that is not time-limited
* Desire to build a career in the Food Manufacturing Industry
