This role requires you to travel to people's homes to assess their needs and makerecommendationsfornecessary adaptationsto enable them to live independently.
You will be working within a teamprovidingclinical advice on thedesignand delivery ofworksrequiredto meet the client's needs.
About you
Youare an organised, detail-orientated administrator who can manage multiple priorities whileremainingcalm under pressure. You enjoy working with a wide range of people and have excellent communication skills.
You are a people focused person able to empathise with people but also able to manage their expectations. Withgood communicationskills youcanclearly explain to clients what wecando for them and communicate their needs to the surveyors and others within the wider housing team asappropriate.
You have:
* The ability to work independently and manage your workload.
* Are confident using databases,spreadsheetsand digital systems.
* Can build positive relationships with clients, team members,managersand external providers.
* Can be creative in finding solutions.

About the role and the team

You will be joining ourPrivate Sector Housingteam.Thiscomprisesof 5 full time Housing Adaptation Surveyors, a Caseworkerand a Housing OT supported by 2 admin staff. These work closely insupporting residents in the New Forest in applying forgrantassistanceand delivering the adaptations necessary to liveindependently.
It also has 3 Housing Standards Surveyors that work with private landlords and tenants inmaintainingthe standards of rented properties in the district.
You will play a pivotal role in assessing clients' needs and making recommendationsregardingtheir needs.
Part of the role will also be to provide advice onthe suitability of properties where rehousing is being recommended.Working with our Housing Allocations team.
We also receive referrals fromchildrensand adult's services. Youwill be able to provide support and advise to Housing Adaptation Surveyors indelivering the necessaryadaptations.
You will provide a mutual support system with our Housing OT.
As part of this team your work will ensure we are able toassistin meeting the needs of a greater number of residents by providing needed adaptations.
