The role We're looking for a Tax Accountant to join our Finance team What will you do as a Tax Accountant at N Brown? rojects * Prepare the annual Corporation Tax returns using tax software (OneSource) and related transfer pricing / BEPS docume entation. * Oversee the preparation of overseas Corporation Tax and VAT returns prepared by external l advisors. * Complete current and deferred tax charge calculations and related year end tax disclosures for the group's financial l statements. * Prepare our Group VAT returns, incorporating calculations aligned to our Retail Scheme, Partial Exemption and VAT Bad Debt Relief methodologies. * Complete period end processes and monthly reporting for Tax, including VAT calculations, balance sheet reconciliations and tracking progress on external tax engagements. * Critically review existing tax processes, adopting a continuous i improvement mindset * Maintain accurate tax cash flow forecasting and assist in preparation of tax forecasts and budgets for FP&A colleagues. * Liaison with HMRC, statutory auditors and external advisors with support from the Head of Tax & Shared Services. * Assist the Head of Tax & Treasury with the maintenance of the group's tax governance and control processes including updating the Tax Strategy, Risk Register and SAO processes and developing g our tax risk framework. * Assist the Head of Tax & Shared Services with the identification of potential tax risks and opportunities and provision of t tax advice to the business. * Act as an ambassador for Finance and Tax, proactively developing internal and external networks with relevant stakeholders to improve yo What skills and experience will you have? your knowledge and experience. * Experience with business tax compliance, including preparation of Corporation Tax and VAT returns. * F Fully or part-qualified accountant. * Knowledge of relevant Corporation Tax and VAT issues, with particular experi ience of external audit requirements. * Experience of tax accounting an nd disclosures for consolidated groups. * Excellen nt data management and processing skills. * The desire to build relationships, le earn and develop. * +3yrs relevant experience * Experience of using Oracle Cloud, Corporation Tax software (OneSource / Alphatax) and VAT M What's in it for you?
