Responsibilities Working Hours Normal hours of work are 42 hours per week, 24/7 shift pattern, Monday to Sunday inclusive. The postholder is required to work such hours as are necessary in order to satisfactorily perform the role. The current shift pattern is 12-hour shifts days/nights over a 4-week rotation. Average working hours per week are 42. Main Purpose of Job To effectively carry out the installation, maintenance, testing and repair of all equipment used within the manufacturing industry. To support the operations team to achieve their target and to maintain health & safety standards. Assisting with the development of PPM systems and the forward scheduling of maintenance activities Operational tasks to comply with legislation and company procedures Fault diagnosis, repair and maintenance in a steel work / heavy engineering environment Applicant conversant in general machine wiring and installation, including temperature control and lighting Planning and scheduling planned and unplanned work Liaise with client departments Control maintenance tools, stores and equipment Monitor maintenance costs Improve production facilities Note: This job description is a guide to the principal, current duties of the job. FLT, OHC, Confined Space, Working at Height, MEWP Knowledge of SHIRES electronic maintenance system or equivalent Attention to detail Supportive for all maintenance activities Experience Experience of working in a manufacturing environment Ability to follow job instructions / processes A good understanding of the principles of Health & Safety at work Apprentice trained electrician.
