Role: Lecturer in Health, Wellbeing & Social Care Location: Manchester, United Kingdom Salary: £51,000 per annum Employment Type: Full-Time | Permanent | 40 hours per week Role Overview We are seeking a motivated and student-focused Lecturer to deliver teaching across undergraduate levels on the BSc (Hons) Health, Wellbeing & Social Care programme. This role requires flexibility to teach during weekdays, evenings, and weekends in line with the academic delivery model. The successful candidate will contribute to high-quality teaching, assessment, curriculum development, and student success within a higher education environment. Key Responsibilities Plan, deliver, and assess teaching sessions, ensuring all learning outcomes are met Deliver management-related modules within health, wellbeing, and social care disciplines Develop, update, and continuously improve course and module materials Use a range of effective learning and teaching methods and resources Assess student work and provide timely, constructive feedback Support student engagement, attendance, progression, and achievement Maintain accurate and well-organised academic and student records Participate in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings, and academic administration Remain up to date with developments in the subject area and student support practices Work towards clearly defined objectives related to student continuation, completion, satisfaction, and progression Required Qualifications & Experience Master’s degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable) Previous lecturing experience within UK higher education Strong subject knowledge in health, wellbeing, and social care or related disciplines Experience supervising student work and providing academic support and feedback Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and accurate reporting Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations Compensation & Benefits 25 days’ annual leave plus 8 public holidays Additional annual leave per year of service (up to 5 extra days) Workplace pension scheme Tuition reimbursement for professional and career development courses Flexible benefits including Cycle to Work, childcare support, and technology schemes Employee wellbeing resources and discount platforms Reward and recognition programmes Employee referral bonus scheme Discretionary annual performance bonus Apply Now!
