Job Description

Canon are looking for a talented individual to join our growing Professional Print Division specialising in high volume print and solutions.

We’re seeking a self-motivated and experienced sales account manager to drive new high volume production print business in a competitive marketplace with a favourable commission package. You will also be responsible for the management of some existing client accounts in the designated territory. The position will be territory based(home/remote) with access to Canon offices and will cover a wide range of vertical sectors including both private and public sectors (hybrid).

We are looking for a candidate with a sales mindset and experience selling directly with customers in person, over the phone including elements of social selling for driving new customer relationships.

The ideal candidate will be able to build strong relationships with clients in order to understand their objectives, and match where applicable Canon’s production solutions and services to help drive business efficiencies. The ideal candidate will be able to provide creative solutions and deliver these solutions using strong presentation skills and excellent verbal and written communication. Additionally, they should have experience in working in a fast-paced sales environment driven by targets.

Knowledge of the print industry would be ideal but is not mandatory. Canon’s Professional Print Training program will work with the successful candidate to train them on our products and services including time spent shadowing some of our experienced account managers and directors. Canon’s solutions business consultants will also support the successful candidate to help support and drive software solutions sales which complement our hardware offering.


Responsibilities

* Grow and develop a new production print business pipeline through a proactive selling approach and achieve against sales targets
* Utilise all Canon promotional assets to help drive demand in the marketplace
* Work closely with the product marketing teams drive Canon’s value proposition, through campaigns and events into your customer base
* Uncover client's needs, desires and objectives and align these to Canon’s portfolio of products and services where applicable
* Clearly communicate with customers in person, at customer events, over the phone, through email and through virtual platforms such as Microsoft Teams
* Participate in Canon events in both UK & Europe to drive production pipelines and sales
* Proven sales experience and a winning mindset
* Demonstrated ability to build client relationships and win new business in a target driven environment
* Sound business acumen; strategic skills; common sense; along with strong negotiation skills
* Strong problem solver and creative thinker
* Exceptional organisational skills and planning of customer appointments, team events, demonstrations and meeting deadlines.
* Ability to travel on an as needed basis

up to £41,000 (base) dependent on experience + £27,000 (OTE) + £5,856 (car allowance) £73,856 total potential earnings
