Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bicester. As an Assistant Buyer - Books, you will be pro-active in sourcing and selecting books that align with customer and market demands. Your responsibilities will include monitoring stock levels, liaising with publishers and suppliers, supporting retail partnerships, and analyzing sales trends to make informed purchasing decisions. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders will also be integral to this role.
Skills you have:
* Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and maintain partner relationships.
* Negotiate pricing with suppliers
* Gather market knowledge and insight into customer and industry trends.
* Produce the sales presenter for the customer
* Analysis of customer EPOS to give buying trends and further develop ranges.
* Sales experience with a focus on meeting targets and understanding market trends.
* Proficient organizational and analytical skills to support effective decision-making and process management.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with inventory management systems.
* Experience in the book industry or retail environment is advantageous.
