Job summary
Thisis an exciting opportunity for an experienced primary care nurse to help shapea brand new service from the ground up.
Thisnew role will play a key part in the ensuring the continued delivery of excellentcare in Boltons primary care system, ensuring every HCSW, Nursing Associate, TraineePractice nurse is confident and competent in their ability to work in a personcentred, evidence based and compassionate way.
Main duties of the job
1. To observe and to ensure candidates have been trained and assessed as competent andto sign off competency framework for staff in relation to various clinical roles.
2. To ensure relevant documentation and administrative procedures are in place to support recording and reporting of data to the organisation and wider as needed
3. Provide clinical supervision as required to other members of the team
4. To create training plans and procedures to ensure delivery of training to the primary care workforce supporting programme across Bolton is implemented.
5. Support the development of training content complete with materials, tutorials, instructions, and learning resources and guides as needed.
6. To ensure that primary care initiatives unique to Bolton are explained and understood by those on the programme
7. To act as a role model for health care professionals entering primary care for the first time
8. Participate in clinical and other audits as required.
9. Attendance at relevant meetings.

Job responsibilities
TheNurse Trainer will be available to support our primary care workforce gaincompetence to deliver Long-Term Condition clinics and management, cytology andimmunisation programmes and other skills required for a career in generalpractice, according to their role.
The Nurse Trainer will beresponsible for supporting the delivery of an existing online trainingprogramme, working with health care professionals to ensure their online learningis embedded into practice and helping in any areas where they may require extrasupport.
The Nurse Trainer will workalongside practices, creating and delivering a training development plancomplete with materials, tutorials, instructions, and learning resources and guides.
The successful applicant/s willjoin a network of Nurse Trainers based across Greater Manchester, butrepresenting Boltons primary care system
The Nurse Trainer will need to bea great communicator, able to work flexibly and using their own initiative, andhave a passion for making sure new health care professionals joining primarycare have a successful and enjoyable transition.

12. Evidence of post registration training
13. Clinical Skills including, Immunisation/Phlebotomy, Vaccination and cervical cytology

16. 5 years post registration experience
17. Experience of working in general practice
18. Knowledge of Long-Term conditions
19. Evidence of Teaching, Training and Clinical Supervision of staff including registered and non-registered
20. Willingness to teach learners and promote evidence based practice
21. Experience of implementing protocols and clinical guidelines
22. Knowledge of clinical governance
23. Experience of quality initiatives such as clinical benchmarking
24. Knowledge of clinical audits
25. Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
