Job Overview
As our HR Advisor, you'll provide day-to-day support and guidance to managers and employees, ensuring compliance with employment law while also driving initiatives that make our workplace engaging and rewarding.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations & Compliance
* Provide HR advice, coaching, and support to managers and employees.
* Manage employee relations cases including disciplinaries, grievances, absence, and performance.
* Support TUPE transfer processes, including due diligence, employee consultations, and integration.
* Keep HR policies and procedures up to date, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice.
Talent & Engagement
* Support recruitment and onboarding, creating a smooth and positive new-starter journey.
* Contribute to culture and engagement initiatives, including wellbeing, inclusion, and recognition.
* Support training and development programmes that give employees opportunities to learn, grow, and progress in their careers.
HR Operations
* Maintain HR systems and records, ensuring accuracy and GDPR compliance.
* Provide HR data and insights to support decision-making.
* Contribute to wider HR projects and change management activities.
Skills
You'll be approachable, empathetic, and pragmatic — someone employees feel comfortable turning to, and managers trust for clear advice.
You'll bring:
Experience in an HR advisory role (ideally in IT or professional services, but we welcome applications from other fast-paced sectors).
Strong knowledge of UK employment law and practical experience managing employee relations cases.
Understanding of TUPE processes and how to support employees through them.
Excellent communication skills and the confidence to have crucial conversations with fairness and empathy.
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
Experience with HR systems and data management (Sage HR & Payroll a bonus).
CIPD Level 4 or above.
Flexibility to travel between offices (own vehicle would be helpful).
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £26,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 25 – 37.5 per week
