Airswift are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated ELV Engineer to oversee the installation, subcontractor management, and quality assurance of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems. The successful candidate will ensure that all ELV systems are implemented in compliance with UK (England and Wales) standards and project requirements.
Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of ELV (Extra Low Voltage) systems, including but not limited to:
Fire Alarm Systems
Security & CCTV Systems
Data & Communication Networks
Building Management Systems (BMS)
Review and oversee ELV design documentation to ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable standards.
Manage subcontractors involved in ELV system installations, ensuring work is completed on time and to the required quality standards.
Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) requirements.
Ensure all ELV installations comply with UK (England and Wales) electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
Collaborate with MEP and other project teams to ensure proper integration of ELV systems with other building services.
Identify and troubleshoot ELV system issues and provide technical support during the installation and commissioning phases.
Maintain project documentation, progress reports, and records related to ELV system implementation.
Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Electronics, or Communications Engineering (or a related field).
Proven experience in ELV system installation, commissioning, and quality management in large-scale MEP projects.
Extensive knowledge and experience with ELV (Extra Low Voltage) systems and their integration in building projects.
Strong understanding of UK (England and Wales) electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
Experience in managing subcontractors and ensuring QA/QC compliance.
Excellent communication and coordination skills to collaborate effectively with project stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and oversee multiple aspects of the ELV systems implementation.
Valid work permit to work in the UK (England and Wales).
Work schedule: 08:00 AM to 06:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
