We now invite applications for a one-year student placement based at our Omagh Mill.
The Role:
1. Monitoring the quality of raw materials and finished feeds during the manufacturing process including durability and hardness testing and grist analysis;
2. Carrying out hygiene audits including mill, HGV and glass inspection audits including preparing the associated reports;
3. Assisting with operator training in relation to feed safety and quality;
4. Assisting with the ongoing review and implementation of quality control procedures;
5. Monitoring labelling information and carrying out checks to ensure formulations are updated and that label information remains current.
The Person:
6. Show attention to detail and be able to prioritise a busy workload;
7. Have the ability to work on their own initiative and within a busy team;
8. Demonstrate excellent communication skills;
9. Be IT literate;
10. Ideally have an interest in farming and the agri-food sector.
