Brief Description
OX5 1AP We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands‑on experience in a healthcare environment while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.
Qualifications Required
GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course. For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.
Training to be Provided
Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.
Responsibilities
This is an exciting role that will include engaging with customers and clients to provide prescription counter services, advice, housekeeping duties such as stock rotation and stock replenishment, helping to deliver a variety of public health services whilst gaining a pharmacy qualification.
* Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries
* Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision)
* Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records
* Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales
* Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality
* Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service

Apprenticeship Details
Qualification: Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship – Duration: Typically 15 months. Training delivered alongside your job through blended learning. Apprentices must be able to commit to contracted working hours and guided learning hours.
