Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in. This position requires a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalised assistance and empathetic engagement.
The candidate must have a valid license, and car and only send applications if you are willing to drive to areas such as Ockendon, Purfleet and Gray's
Duties
* Provide direct support to clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
* Assist clients with mobility and heavy lifting as required, ensuring their safety and comfort.
* Implement behaviour management strategies to support clients with diverse needs, including those with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
* Maintain accurate records of client progress and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals regarding any changes in condition.
* Foster a supportive environment that encourages independence while ensuring the well-being of clients.
* Engage in case management activities to coordinate care plans tailored to individual client needs.
* Utilise medical terminology appropriately when discussing client care with other professionals.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in senior care, home care, or nursing home settings is highly desirable.
* Certification in First Aid is preferred.
* Strong understanding of patient care principles and practices.
* Knowledge of dementia care techniques and behaviour management strategies.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively.
* Familiarity with medical terminology is an advantage.
* Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to client interaction.
* A commitment to maintaining the dignity and respect of all clients.
