About the Opportunity
Leader Recruitment Group is delighted to collaborate with a reputable provider to recruit a committed Registered Manager for a children's residential home in Hyde, Stockport, focused on supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). This role offers the opportunity to lead a caring team, deliver exceptional therapeutic care, and create a positive, nurturing environment for children to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the home's operations, ensuring high-quality care and adherence to Ofsted standards and Children's Homes Regulations.
* Lead strategic planning and daily management to achieve outstanding outcomes for young people.
* Mentor and support staff, overseeing training (QCF Level 3), appraisals, and work schedules.
* Build strong, trusting relationships with children to foster emotional growth and recovery.
* Act as a role model, promoting a supportive and therapeutic environment for residents and staff.
* Oversee budgets, financial performance, and service development to ensure operational excellence.
* Partner with external agencies to maintain robust safeguarding and care practices.
About You
* Essential:
o At least 3 years' experience in a senior role within a children's residential setting.
o Level 3 or 4 in Children and Young People's Workforce; achieved or working towards Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (Children and Young People's Management).
o Comprehensive knowledge of The Children Act 1989, Children's Homes Regulations, and safeguarding protocols.
o Experience in budget and financial management.
o Full UK Driving Licence and flexibility for on-call duties.
o A passionate leader dedicated to improving outcomes for young people.
* Desirable:
o Previous experience as a Registered Manager or similar leadership role.
o Proven ability to achieve strong Ofsted ratings.
