Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be recruiting for a Process Engineer on behalf of a Nottinghamshire based business who specialise in the market leading design and development of a range of high performance products.
In the role of Process Engineer you will be able to think creatively in order to deliver on multiple bespoke projects, ensuring efficiency, high quality and on time delivery.
The Process Engineer's duties and responsibilities will include:
1. Developing and optimising manufacturing processes
2. Work closely with various teams across the business to ensure efficient and high quality production, process improvements and drive innovation in line with business objective
3. Leading projects in process improvement, new equipment, facilities, safety etc. including development of the business case, financial budgets, resource management, timelines, communication and reporting
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and high-quality production, implement process improvements, and drive innovation in line with business objectives
5. Develop a Lean Manufacturing culture within Production teams and the wider business.
6. Control & reduce costs in the factory by continuously challenging the methods of manufacture
7. Recommend process modifications and establish robust quality control measures and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
8. Coaching, training & mentoring cross functionally on Lean methodology, structured daily management and KPI’s, ensuring improvement actions are in place when required
Educational background required
9. Hold an Engineering Qualification (HNC, HND etc) a degree would be an advantage
Job related experience required
10. Possess a general understanding of manufacturing processes relevant to the core business
11. Lean/CI experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
12. Ability to manage multiple assignments/priorities and achieve results
13. Project / CAPEX experience
Any other skills / knowledge required
14. Be able to build a strong network across the business and be a positive influence for change within both the operational and management teams
15. Ability to motivate teams and lead change at all levels of the organisation
16. To possess a degree of resilience and empathy when leading teams to ensure the objectives are achieved but team engagement and ownership are still key
17. Strong communication and influencing skills, including stakeholder management
