You will be responsible for driving whole-faculty improvement, managing resources, and ensuring the delivery of consistently high-quality teaching that secures excellent results at GCSE and A-Level. This significant leadership role comes with a substantial Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR) payment appropriate for a Head of Faculty. We Are Looking For: A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and a degree in a core Science subject. A proven track record of successfully leading or significantly contributing to the leadership of a large Science department. Expertise in curriculum design, assessment, and data analysis to drive improvement. A clear strategic vision for developing scientific literacy and academic excellence. The ability to inspire, mentor, and line-manage a team of specialist teachers. Salary and Benefits Main Pay Scale/Upper Pay Scale (MPS/UPS) for Teachers. The base salary will be paid according to experience within the statutory Outer London Pay Scale (The Outer London Main Pay Range minimum is approximately £37,870 as of September 2025). A Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR) payment (The specific amount will be confirmed based on the size and complexity of the faculty, typically falling within the high TLR 1 band, ranging from approximately £10,174 to £17,216 per annum for 2025/2026).
